Day(Z) Beans Halloween Contest

Article 1 – Organizer

The contest is organized by Baptiste RAILLARD, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel), SIREN 912 711 942, EU VAT number FR50912711942, 4 rue de la République, 69001 Lyon, France, publisher of the Day(Z) Beans launcher (hereinafter "the Organizer"). Contact: support@dayzbeanslauncher.com.

Article 2 – Duration

The contest runs from 5 October 2026 at 00:00 to 7 November 2026 at 23:59, Paris time. Only referrals validated within this period count.

Article 3 – Who can enter

• Any natural person aged at least 16 on the date of entry. A minor participant declares that they have the consent of their legal guardian, which the Organizer may request before awarding a prize.
• Who owns a personal Steam account and the game DayZ, and uses the Day(Z) Beans launcher.
• One participation per person and per Steam account.
• The Organizer, its collaborators and members of their households are excluded.

Entry is free and no purchase is necessary. No payment is requested at any time.

Article 4 – How to enter

1. During the contest period, open the launcher: your personal referral link is shown on the contest page.
2. Share this link, or your referral code, with your friends, your squad or your community.
3. Your friend installs the launcher from your link, or enters your code in the launcher within 3 days of installing it.
4. Each friend who becomes a validated referral earns you 1 entry in the draw, and earns them 1 too.

A player can hold at most 20 entries. Each entry is one more chance to be drawn.

Article 5 – Validated referral

A friend becomes a validated referral when all of these conditions are met before the end of the contest:

• they install the launcher for the first time during the period, and their referral is recorded through the link or the code;
• they open the launcher on at least two different days;
• they join at least one DayZ server from the launcher;
• their Steam account has never been linked to the launcher before.

You can follow the progress of your referrals in the launcher.

Article 6 – Server challenge

Owners of servers claimed on Day(Z) Beans can share a referral link specific to their server. Each validated referral arriving through this link is counted for that server, and also earns the entries set out in article 4 for the player who referred them, if any.

The server with the most validated referrals at the end of the contest wins prize 2. In case of a tie, the server that reached that total first wins.

Article 7 – Prizes

Prizes cannot be exchanged or converted into money, except for the replacement provided for prize 1. A participant can win only one copy of prize 1.

Article 8 – Draw and delivery of prizes

The draw is automatic and verifiable by anyone: no one, not even the Organizer, can predict or influence its result.

1. Entry freeze. On 8 November 2026, the list of validated entries is frozen. It is published in pseudonymized form (a random identifier per participant, never a nickname or a Steam account) together with its SHA-256 fingerprint, at dayzbeanslauncher.com/halloween-contest/draw.
2. Source of randomness. The draw seed is the value published by the drand public randomness beacon (League of Entropy, "quicknet" chain) for round no. 33903412, produced on 12 November 2026 at 20:00 UTC (21:00 Paris time). This value is unpredictable before it is published and verifiable by anyone.
3. Calculation. Entries are ordered by participant identifier. For winner k (from 1 to 3), SHA-256(seed ∥ ":" ∥ k) is computed and read as an integer; the remainder of its division by the number of remaining entries designates the winning entry. All of the winner's entries are then removed, as each participant can win only once.
4. Publication. At the time of the draw, the page dayzbeanslauncher.com/halloween-contest/draw performs this calculation and shows the winners (pseudonymized identifiers), the seed and the list fingerprint. The source code of the calculation is published there, so anyone can re-run the draw.

• If the drand beacon does not publish the planned round, the first round published after it is used.
• Winners are notified in the launcher and on Discord. To receive their prize, they confirm their identity by signing in with their Steam account on the Day(Z) Beans website within 14 days; otherwise, the prize goes to the participant designated by the calculation for k = 4, then 5, and so on.
• Before delivery, the Organizer checks the winner's eligibility and the validity of their referrals.

Article 9 – Fraud

The following are prohibited in particular: creating multiple accounts, fake or repeated installs, using scripts or virtual machines to simulate players, and buying or selling referrals. Any participant involved loses all their entries and any prizes. The Organizer reviews doubtful cases and gives the participant concerned the reasons for its decision.

Article 10 – Personal data

To run the contest, the Organizer processes:

• the launcher's anonymous identifier and the usage history needed to validate referrals (launches, servers joined);
• an irreversible fingerprint (hash) of the Steam account, used only to check that an account is counted once;
• for winners: the nickname and contact details needed to deliver the prize.

This data is used only for the contest and is deleted 3 months after the prizes are delivered. You can access it, have it corrected or deleted by writing to support@dayzbeanslauncher.com, and lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French data protection authority) if you disagree. Deleting your data before the draw cancels your entries.

Article 11 – Liability

The Organizer may shorten, extend, suspend or modify the contest if circumstances require it (outage, large-scale fraud, postponement of the DLC). Any change is announced in the launcher and on Discord, and does not remove any entry already validated. The Organizer is not responsible for problems related to Steam or to participants' connections.

Article 12 – Governing law

These rules are available free of charge at dayzbeanslauncher.com/halloween-contest for the whole duration of the contest. Entering the contest means accepting the rules. They are governed by French law. Any dispute is first subject to an attempt at amicable resolution; failing that, the courts with jurisdiction are those of Lyon, subject to consumer protection rules.
