Check my server.

Enter your server's IP and query port. We query it live, the way launchers do, and tell you what players see and how to fix what's wrong.

Use the query port (steamQueryPort in serverDZ.cfg), not the game port. Pasting 51.38.12.34:27016 fills both fields.

Common questions

What is the difference between the game port and the query port?

Players connect to the game port (2302 by default). Launchers, server lists and this page talk to the query port (steamQueryPort in serverDZ.cfg, 27016 when not set; many hosts use the game port + 1 or + 3). Both must be open for UDP.

Why doesn't my server answer?

Usually one of three things: the port entered is the game port, the query port is blocked by a firewall (it needs UDP), or the server is still starting. The check tries the usual query ports for you and says which one answers.

Why is my mod list missing?

The mod list travels in a second query (A2S_RULES) that is larger and split into several packets. Some firewalls and DDoS filters drop it. Without it, launchers can't tell players which mods to download.

Why isn't my server in the list?

New servers are picked up from Steam's server list regularly. Servers that don't answer for 7 days drop out, and servers flagged by fake-server detection are hidden. The check tells you which case applies, and you can add your server yourself for free.
